Mental Health Therapy

We provide a holistic approach to treatment that is strength-based and culturally responsive to meet your needs.  Evidence-based practices are implemented throughout treatment to advance your wellness goals. Specialty therapies include:

Child-Parent Psychotherapy

CPP

This family-oriented approach reduces the impact of infant and early childhood trauma, separation, or loss for children from birth to age five. CPP is a relationship-based therapy model that is proven successful in reducing trauma symptoms for children and their parents or caregivers. The model focuses on safety, attachment, and developmental stages.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing

EMDR

EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. Therapists work with eye movements associated with traumatic events to create a new association between disturbing memories and more positive emotions to support increased daily functioning.

Substance Abuse Services

At Cornerstone Counseling Center, we address substance abuse by involving family and community in finding solutions tailored to each individual. Highly-trained substance abuse professionals assist in developing goals, structure, and positive living environments necessary for success. A holistic approach is utilized in assessing areas of need and alternatives to use. All levels of care incorporate group, individual and family counseling as needed. A Motivational Interviewing Approach is utilized to support individual stages of change.

The following services are provided for Adults and Youth

  • Extended Outpatient (EOP): Extended outpatient serves both male and female clients requiring additional education regarding their substance use. Individuals that qualify for extended outpatient attend six hours of treatment per month in the form of group and individual sessions.

  • Continuing Care: Continuing Care serves both male and female clients who have completed an outpatient, residential, or day treatment program and are in need of ongoing individualized support.

  • Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) Assessments: CFI offers OWI assessments for $125, which is due at time of service.

Domestic Violence Services

This service provides advocacy for domestic, dating, and sexual violence. We help survivors address their immediate safety concerns and provide support and resources to increase safety and empower change when needed. Advocates provide counseling, safety planning, and assist in taking steps toward healthy relationships. Advocates also provide necessary resources and referrals for children that have been impacted by domestic violence. Community collaboration, awareness, and education is also provided.
