Welcome! I appreciate your interest in seeking counseling with Children & Families of Iowa. My life’s journey has led me to Cornerstone Counseling Center as a therapist. Prior to acquiring my tLMHC license, I was an elementary/secondary special education teacher for many years. Ultimately, I love interacting with humans from birth throughout their lifespan. Human development can impact us physically, socially, intellectually, and spiritually throughout our lifespan experience.

Therapy approaches I utilize in session are Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Strength based therapy, and Trauma focused therapy. I firmly believe ‘we can become what we want to be’ with consistent effort and intentional support to live our BEST life!

My personal and professional experiences have taught me to value relationships within the lens of human development. Self, family, work, friends, and a higher power are the nucleus that can build any type of healthy and fulfilling relationship.  Validation, empathy, SAFETY, and goal setting are core values that help establish and support effective therapeutic relationships with my clients within their lifespan experiences. If you are not experiencing a fulfilling relationship regardless of its origin, I am here to support and guide you in your journey to achieve increased well-being.
