Behavioral Health Intervention Services
Sometimes it takes more than office visits to deal with a child’s severe emotional and behavioral issues. Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS) are a voluntary service that offers tools and support to families so they can create a supportive environment at home.
For a better life for children and their caretakers, Children & Families of Iowa is committed to offering BHIS to each family that needs it. With qualified Licensed Practitioners of the Healing Arts (LPHA) therapists available to do assessments and evaluate the need for BHIS, Children & Families of Iowa is prepared to offer critical services to families in the most dire of needs. Services are available in Des Moines, Ankeny, Fort Dodge, Osceola and Ottumwa.
CFI offers support and tools to help families work through emotional and behavioral issues, real-life solutions for dealing with family conflict, coordination between therapists, psychiatrists, schools and other service providers in the community and a comprehensive and coordinated array of services from assessment to implementation.
